The one and only Amsterdam Icebar is one of the most unique locations in the city. What sets our bar apart from the rest? Everything inside is made entirely out of ice, even the glass your beer or shot is served in! The admission price includes three free tokens, which you can exchange for drinks.
The Amsterdam Icebar is one of the coolest places in town (literally) and definitely in the top 10 of things to do in Amsterdam. This amazing bar is kept at a constant temperature of -10 degrees Celsius and everything is made entirely out of ice. Be amazed at this remarkable feat of engineering and enjoy this unique venue as you sip on your favourite drinks from ice glasses.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT ICE BAR AMSTERDAM
Upon arrival at the ice bar you’ll receive three free tokens, two silver and one golden. You can exchange these tokens at our two bars. The first bar you’ll enter is our ‘heated’ front bar. Here you can exchange your golden token and order a large Heineken beer, glass of wine, cocktail or non-alcoholic beverage.
After you have enjoyed your first drink, you will be introduced to Willem Barentz, captain of the Mercury and arctic explorer. Join him on board to try and find a way around the island of Nova Zembla to discover a shortcut to the Indies.
As you step on board you’ll be handed warm clothing such as a coat and gloves to survive the -10°C in the actual ice bar. Here you will be surrounded by ice, from the walls to the ice sculptures and the glasses served at the bar. In this frozen world you can exchange your two silver tokens for two more drinks.
